    Adapter sleeves work perfectly.

    I bought these for my vertical leg press and they work perfectly. Plates fit nice and snug over the adapter, which makes it seem like the machine was a standard Olympic plate setup from the beginning. They are easy to remove, so that my partner can easily switch to the standard 1" plates we have while I'm using our Olympic plates for other lifts.

    No...really. Its a black tube. It seems very durable - not a brittle plastic. There is an inset screw that holds the adapter in place well. I cannot think of any way I would want to improve on the design - so it gets 5 stars.
